TUCSON, AZ

Food, Cycling, Nature, and Distinct Culture are highlights of this quietly cool city. Located in the Sonoran Desert, Tucson has the longest agricultural history of any city in the United States of America and is currently the first city in the United States designated as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.  Warm summers make the best time to visit between October through May to avoid the highest temperatures.

TRANSPORTATION

With hundreds of miles of multi-use paths, neighborhood greenways, and protected bikeways winding around the city, Tucson is better not in a car. The roads dedicated to cars tend to be lined with typical strip malls and parking lots. By bike and streetcar, you weave through neighborhoods and nature. It's a better pace to see the architecture and often a faster way of moving around the central core.
